Ninja Fruits is a slot game by Play ‘n’ Go that, as the name suggests, combines ninjas and fruits. It is a five reel slots game with fifteen pay lines.

The game is adorned with a cartoon-style oriental background and incorporates ninja-style music, but it is still primarily a fruit slots machine and combines the bright and colourful graphics of standard fruit machines with the oriental ninja theme. The two themes are brought together in various ways, such as ninjas slicing fruits whenever a win is made.

The symbols used are largely derived from the ninja theme, and include sensei, geishas, and various ninjas. The game is available both for land-based slots machines, standard online pokies NZ, and as a mobile version to be used on smart phones and tablets.

How to Play Ninja Fruits

Before playing Ninja Fruits, players will need to choose how many pay lines they wish to activate and how many coins they want to bet per line. They can bet from anything between 0.01 and 0.25, and can bet up to five coins per line. If wishing to play for larger amounts, players can select the auto play feature or click the ‘Bet Max’ button.

After clicking on ‘Spin’, the reels will be spun and, when stopping, the winning combinations will be checked against those pre-set in the pay table. The game combines numerous winning combinations with a few bonus features.

The Wilds, Scatters, and Various Bonuses

In Ninja Fruits, the wild symbol is represented by the sensei master. This wild symbol may be used to replace any of the other symbols, except for the bonus symbol, to achieve the best possible winning combination.

The scatter symbol in Ninja Fruits is represented by the geisha. If the geisha lands on reels one, three, or five, this will trigger the free spin bonus round, and allow players to win up to five times their total bet. During the free spins round, the geisha will spin her umbrella, which will stop randomly to select one of the reel symbols and turn this into an extra scatter symbol. The geisha will then flip open her folding fan to reveal how many free spins have been awarded, which could be any number up to fifteen. The free spins feature cannot be re-triggered.

Players can choose to play double up with their winnings by activating the gamble button. Here they have to pick ‘Red’ or ‘Black’, or they may increase their winnings by four if they pick the right suit of a hidden card.

The bonus symbol is the shuriken. If the shuriken lands on reels three, four, and five, the bonus feature, the Hit a Fruit Bonus, will be activated.  In this bonus round, the player needs to hit fruits with the shuriken. Every hit will result in a cash prize received. A miss will result in the ninja master knocking all of the fruits down, and this will end the bonus round. The bonus round allows players to win up to one hundred and fifty times their original bet.
